13 Random Thoughts

My life has been hectic to say the least. So here is a bit of randomness that is bouncing around. Thirteen to be exact.

1. Okay, am I the only one that thinks this piece of toast has a smiley face on it?

2. Yes, that is my son using a piece of corn as a cell phone. He is talking to his peeps.

3. Doesn't everyone wear your sisters slippers, a diaper, sleep shirt and a German hat together? Not everyone can pull this look off you know. And yes, those are the remnants of his breakfast on his face. That is what happens when your sisters get you out of your highchair.

4. This is what the sky looked like the other night. Isn't it beautiful?

5. Little man loves to vacuumm. It isn't plugged in, but he loves it anyway. He is infatuated with the sweeper. Now if I could only teach him to dust.

6. Beautiful flower taken at the Columbus Zoo.

7. Yes, that is my butt. But a much smaller, fit butt. After 30 pounds of weight loss and lots of exercise. Not to toot my own horn. Okay, TOOT TOOT.

8. We made blackened catfish the other night. Turns out we don't reall like catfish, who new?

9. This is what my butt used to look like. I like my new butt. This was only 3 months ago, if you can believe it.

10. This is my oldest and she started select soccer this week.

11. This was her outfit for playing store. She thought this is what you wear to work when you worked at a purse boutique. We played that last week when it rained.

12. She also starts her pottery class this week.

13. I love back to school time, the smell of crayons and new paper. I have always loved this time of year.

Christmas Photos--Thursday Thirteen

In honor of Thursday Thirteen, I am posting 13 photos from Christmas! Enjoy!

Here is my youngest with his 3 gifts from Santa.

My youngest daughter with her gifts from Santa. She was happy, doesn't look like it here.

My second oldest with her Santa loot.

My oldest with her Santa gifts. She still loves playing with American Girl stuff even though she is 9.

Tearing into his gifts.

Seeing what his sister got!

He puts everything on his head.

This is my crazy girl at the in-laws.

Always ready to pose for a photo.

My oldest, the only girl I know who wears her soccer shirts ALL the time!

She loves Polly Pockets. She will play with these for hours.

She loves her colors.

Honestly, he was happiest just playing with the paper.

We all had a wonderful Christmas, of course it isn't about the gifts. Everyone was happy though, as they all got what was on their letter to Santa. My oldest daughter asked for nothing for herself in her letter. She simply asked Santa for a good Christmas for her family. Isn't that sweet?

My husband did a wonderful job as usual on the gifts for me. However, I feel my greatest gift is my family all healthy and happy. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Thursday Thirteen, November 19

Since I will not likely be posting a Thursday Thirteen next week, seeing as it is Thanksgiving and all. I thought that I would write 13 things that I am thankful for today! A little early I know, but honestly, is it ever too early to be thankful for anything?

Okay, here goes!

I am thankful for (not in any particular order)

1. my kids
2. my husband
3. my extended family
4. lazy days
5. the dishwasher
6. my large capacity washer and dryer
7. that we have more than we need of healthy food
8. that we are able to help and give to others
9. that I have found a true friend that I finally have something in common with (you know who you are, my laundry soap buddy)
10. my 2 dogs
11. my 2 cats
12. I have a roof over my head
13. little debt

I honestly had to stop at 13, I could have listed many more. How great is that? It goes back to the mentality of the glass being half full. My cup is so full it is running over. Things are good, life is good, we are all healthy and here. For that I am very thankful.

Enjoy your holiday next week.
